LMTK3 protein will become the new target for breast cancer treatment

And there exist other mechanisms of TAM as anti-tumor drug, such as modulation of signaling proteins, oxidative stress, etc. Breast cancer survivors risk having their disease come back if they use certain antidepressants while also taking the cancer prevention drug tamoxifen, worrisome new research shows. That is because many patients with breast cancer began to emerge drug reactions. A protein called LMTK3 has some effect on drug response. Researchers make the mouse with cancer do not produce the protein, and then treat the cancer by using the Tamoxifen drugs or other commonly used drugs will get the great effect. The role of drugs is enhanced, so that the tumor was significantly reduced. The researchers also tested levels of this protein for some human breast cancer. If some breast cancer patients with high levels of protein LMTK3, the effect of some cancer drugs will be reduced. Researchers are looking for a new drug which can control this protein.
